Saldanha Bay is a diver's paradise. Home to a seminal naval base, both navy and civilian divers come here from around the world to attend international diving courses and/or to shipwreck dive. Apart from the diving, Saldanha offers its visitors a myriad of other cross-the-board watersport activities and for the more terra-firmed minded great opportunities of interior exploration and discovery. Several renowned natural reserves surround the area, as well as an array of spectacular unspoilt beaches. Within easy distance of your base, lie the nature reserves of Cape Columbine, the Postberg Private Nature reserve and the West Coast National Park.
For sight-seekers, bird-watching, whale-watching and wildlife-spotting along hikes and horse-rides are offered. If your aesthetic tastes differ from the norm, chat to us - we can recommend a nearby port for your whims!
